Connection and Reconnection Charges

(APPENDIX A)

 

A connection fee will be charged each time a new account is established or a tenant number changes per the following guidelines:

Owner occupied – Residential $50.00
Non-Owner occupied – Residential $50.00
Small Commercial, schools, churches, hospitals, local, state, or federal government buildings $50.00
Large Commercial, industrial, interruptible $100.00
 
 

A reconnection fee will be charged each time a meter is turned back on as follows:

Owner occupied – Residential $50.00
Non-Owner occupied – Residential $50.00
Small Commercial, schools, churches, hospitals, local, state, or federal government buildings $100.00
Large Commercial, industrial, interruptible $200.00

 

Reconnections due to non-payment will be done during normal working hours only.

If gas service is needed on a temporary basis, a connection fee will not be charged upon completion of a “Temporary Gas Service Agreement”.

 

RESIDENTIAL SECURITY DEPOSITS

Non-owner occupied Residential customers will be required to pay a $100.00 security deposit to be refunded after twelve (12) consecutive months of no late payments and no payments returned for non-sufficient funds during the same time period.

 

COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL SECURITY DEPOSITS

Commercial and Industrial customers establishing or re-establishing service will be required to pay a security deposit equal to two (2) times the customer's highest estimated monthly volume or two (2) times the highest monthly volume for the previous customer during the last twelve (12) month period at the rate in effect at the time service is established or re-established.

The security deposit is required for each account and shall be refunded after thirty six (36) consecutive months of no late payments and no payments returned for non-sufficient funds during the same time period.

The security deposit may be cash, bond or an irrevocable letter of credit as approved by management. A cash deposit made by any method other than cashier's check will not be effective until the check clears the bank.

 

RESIDENTIAL SECURITY DEPOSITS (FOR NONPAYMENT)

Any residential customer whose service has been disconnected due to non-payment will be required to pay a security deposit equal to an average of the customer's highest two (2) months usage in the previous (12) month period at the rate in effect at the time service is re-established. The security deposit will be refunded after twelve (12) consecutive months of no late payments and no payments returned for non-sufficient funds during the same time period.

 

Federal, State or Local government entities will not be required to establish a security deposit.
